ProjectObjective: To design threeobservation pavilions to the three environments of Assateague Island: theforest, the marsh, and sand dunes. Thedesigns are to embody the characteristics of those environments while playingwith structure and light.
Project Concept: Choosing to explore how the unique textures of these environments can bedeveloped into habitable forms, I designed three expressive structures that programmatically fulfill their functionwhile visually blending with their sites.
